A wise woman

Long time ago, long ago there lived a chaban. Bay sent him to the sands with the flock. And he had some money. “Why do I need money in the sands? – he thought. – I will lose yet. They must be put into safekeeping. They say, that the most honest and decent people are the dervishes. I'll ask one of them."

As he thought, so he did. He gave the money to the dervish, and went off into the desert. A lot of time has passed, and maybe not, when the chaban returned to the village. He comes to the dervish and says:

– I'd like to take my money.

– but, good man – the dervish was surprised. – I do not know you. I never took any money from you. Or a poor man like you can have money?

A poor man has come to his neighbor and shares his sorrow with him. And the neighbor's wife, having heard the whole story, says:

– If you take my advice, your money will come back to you.

Chabana woman taught, where, how and what to do, and she went to

– It's been three years, when my husband left for Khiva and still hasn't come back. I decided to go to him myself, but I can't trust my children with money. I heard, that you are an honest man, doable and sure. I came to ask you, to take my money for safekeeping.

The dervish was very happy:

– My dove! you did well, that you came to me. Can you entrust your children with money?? Times are bad today. And you can rely on me.

– give you, God, health! – said the woman, and began to count the money, that she wanted to leave.

At that moment, the chaban entered.

– I came for my money – he said.

The dervish had already noticed, that woman has a lot of money, he was sorry to lose such a client. So he opened the chest and gave Chaban his due.

And the woman is still counting and counting money, when suddenly her son bursts into the room and calls out:

– Mom! Mom! Dad has arrived! Let's go home quickly!

– Now that my hubby is back – says the woman – I won't bother you anymore.

She wrapped the money in a bundle and laughed. Czaban and the woman's son, who was also in collusion, They couldn't take it anymore and started to giggle. And the dervish clutched his belly with laughter. They finally laughed, and the woman asks:

– My husband has returned from his trip, my son's father; chaban got his money back, so we have reason to rejoice, but why are you laughing?

And a dervish for that:

– I'm laughing at myself. I thought, that I am the smartest man in the world, meanwhile I forgot, that if a woman decides something, no one can stop her or stop her.
